Who doesn’t want to have a flat and toned stomach? The process of developing an ab six pack comprises of two major steps. These steps include building the abdominal muscles and burning fat present in the stomach area.
The first step that involves developing abdominal muscles with the help of various abdominal exercises is the most important step. Practicing a combination of some of the effective abdominal exercises helps in giving you strong and tight abs. Crunches
Just like every place has a staple diet, crunches are staple requirement to building an ab six pack. To perform crunches, lie down on your back with your feet placed flat on the ground. Bend your knees at right angles and make sure not to move your legs. While in this position, lift your shoulders off the ground and do not use anything but your abdominal muscles for this. Complete about three to five sets each comprising of 20 to 30 repetitions.
Regular crunches help in working the top part of the abs. Therefore, you must perform reverse crunches as well in order to give yourself abdominal muscles a complete workout. To do this, lie down on the floor with your feet placed about a few inches off the floor. Begin by bringing your legs towards the chest while simultaneously elating your butt off the ground. Concentrate on your abs again and feel the burn in those muscles as you do this.
Bent Knee Sit-ups
To perform bent knee sit ups, sit down on any kind of a sit up board. Hook up your feet under its strap. Your knees will be bent at an angle of 45 degrees in this position. Place both your hands on the back of your head with your chin placed on your chest. In this position, your back will be bent in the form of a bow. Once you are in this position, inhale and lie down till your lower back is touching the board. Bring yourself back up while exhaling.
The important thing to be remembered is that with all these exercise, you can end up developing various flat spots in the strength of your muscles. Thus, it is very important to develop a wide range of your muscles rather than swinging around your body. Also, remember that building an ab six pack is not just about abdominal exercises. You also need to do certain cardio exercises such as jogging or brisk walking to burn the calories stored in your body and work off the fat.
Besides this, do not underestimate the benefits of timely and adequate sleep. It not helps you refresh yourself, but also gives you more motivation and energy to continue with your daily exercise regime to achieve that ab six pack.
